Lulu Dee + Julie Peach

Welcome Monday!

Did you have a lovely weekend? I hope so! Ours was pretty relaxing, some time in the garden (when the sun finally decided to shine) and some cooking - which is always good : )

I'm looking forward to easing into this last alphabetical week with these two gems below.. shall we get started?

Lulu Dee

Live in Portland Oregon? check.
Live in a 1952 mid-century modern ranch? check.
Have been honing my skills of letterpress printing for the past year? check.

If you checked all three of the above, then you must be Laura Bachman Carignan from Lulu Dee. For those of you reading today who aren't Laura - doesn't it sound like she has the dream life?! It is no wonder that her work is full of crisp modernist goodness...

Julie Peach

Our dip into the tea-towel ocean last week had printed kitchen cloths jumping out at me all over place... this collection from Julie Peach was no exception.

Julie creates a collection of printed goodness that stretches way beyond tea towels and napkins; it includes a range of notebooks, cards, stationery, fabrics and homewares. However, I decided to pick out a few of my fave kitchen towels to share with you today - Can you believe that each one is individually hand illustrated? - wow!

Until Atilla + Ulaa + Udessi

Welcome Monday!

How are you? I hope your weekend was lovely. We had a great weekend, albeit a very long drive, but fantastic all the same.

It is a very special day here today, it is my lovely husband's birthday. I am feeling a bit behind the eight ball with the organising of his celebration so I'll stop chatting, and get to it!

enjoy!

Until Atilla

As I mentioned last week, I have started a printmaking class. I tell you, it has me side-tracked no end! You will have to put up with me posting lots of printing and illustration as I try and get my head around all the "how's?" and "whys" that I keep asking myself - I've only been to printing class once, and I cant wait to go back!

Which brings me to
Until Atilla. Until Atilla is the store of talented artist Lotte Hobbs. Lotte uses a variety of printing, painting and illustration techniques; "I specialise in stylised nudes and landscapes, with a particular look at body modification themed pieces; tattoos, piercings."

I LOVE the
Swallows Have Hope print that is pictured 4th below : )

Ulaa

These prints from etsy store Ulaa are divine! I love their bright colours and the Bandit Bunny series (see 3rd image below) is super cute! These illustrations are just a snippet of what is available in the Ulaa store...

"I am a Polish girl living in France for 7 years (because of love!), with my French hubby and with my biggest little inspiration: my 3 years old daughter Maïa.What I love is to sit down on my sofa - after my work day and after Maïa goes to sleep - and to draw, sew or looking for some new ideas in the Net."

So much goodness to be had!

Aussie Love....

Australian gallery Udessi has this great news and events blog chock full of bits and bobs about the artists and crafters that it represents...

"Udessi is an online gallery offering contemporary Australian art, craft & design, dedicated to showcasing & promoting individual Australian artists with unique work and products.

The collection offers a wide variety of stunning pieces, such as original paintings, ceramics, handmade cushion covers, limited & open edition prints, collages on timber, hand printed designer fabrics & tote bags, handmade toys, greeting cards and more."

A very nice place to get lost in : )

Up Up + Uloni + The Unicorn Diaries

Welcome to Monday! How was your weekend? I hope it was fabulous : )

We had wonderful spring weather all weekend - a football tournament on Saturday with lots of sun basking and yelling on the sidelines, and, more glorious weather, new plants in the garden and a walk / run / ball kick along the beach on Sunday. Yay for spring!

This is the last week of this alphabet*six, and there's a great line-up to be had... shall we start?

Up Up

What I love about Julie Green's Up Up store is not only is it filled with fantastic invitations, cards and calendars, each one is available as a printable.

So.... that means you only pay once, for a high quality PDF of your chosen item, and then you are free to print as many as you like...so, not only does that mean a low one-off fee, but it also means no postage costs, no waiting for the mailman, and no having to re-order when you realise you didn't order the right quantity the first time!

Julie also offers a personalised service... so those gorgeous wedding invitations, or that personalised stationery set - could be all yours, with your details on them to print as you need or want them... great huh??

Uloni

It's great to be starting a new week with some crochet goodness. This time from the super clever Lana Bragina of Uloni.

Lana is a Hamburg based graphic designer who also hand crochets these detailed jewellery and accessory pieces. I have featured crochet work here before and am always impressed and intrigued by the delicate intricacy's of this craft. Beautiful!

Monday's Wonderland brings us the beautiful blog The Unicorn Diaries.

The Unicorn Diaries is like a dream. Beautiful imagery and poetic writings make this daily journal a must to share. I can't even think of words to describe it... you just have to go and have a look : )

Urban Design + Urbanestics + Urban Pink Photography

Welcome to a new week - and the last week in this Alphabet5! Did you have a good weekend?

We spent yesterday morning (as we do every Sunday morning) watching our two boys play football. Both play in the 'midget' squad as they are only 4 and 6. But because they play in different grades it means two hours down on the fields. Yesterday morning was clear and blue, but it was cold. There wasn't just frost on the pitch, but chunks of ice!

My toes never do well in the cold, so all I could think of was getting back and collating some warm sunshine images to help get me through this nearly-spring weather : )

We are so longing for days spent in warm sun down on the beach, and I am beginning to check the garden, hoping some spring bulbs might show their heads - nothing yet... but I know it's coming!!!

I went through my catalogue and discovered three stores that had just what I was looking for...Enjoy!

Urban Design

Maleah Matthews' store Urban Design was the first in my catalogue that made me hopeful that spring might come. Maleah is a wife and mother of three, a passionate photographer and maker of things, and I am longing for the day I see blossoms like these...beautiful!

Urbanestics

How could I resist these gorgeous bursts of colour?! The Urbanestics store boasts a very cool collection of vintage goodness. I have had a fondness for bright sunshine yellow for quite a while now, and I am loving these items below and all their yellow glory! The perfect addition to a winter kitchen - don't you think?

Urban Pink Photography

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share these beachy prints with you from Urban Pink Photography. These picture perfect Californian beaches are calling my name!

Warm sand, cooling ocean, picnic lunches, homemade lemonade - sigh!

I'm not usually a whinger when it comes to the weather, I generally like, and see merit, in all sorts of weather. Today saw a glitch in my usual outlook! Luckily it's easy to find heart (and body) warming inspiration : ) I hope you enjoyed it!

See you tomorrow for W! xxoo
