Maria Janosko

Maria Janosko is another amazing illustrator that has recently been added to my 'favourites' list. I am not sure where I first came across her work but I am completely swooning over her series of works using 'chairs' - I love, love, love the stack of Eames chairs (pictured 3rd below) - the combination of the colours used and the impeccable Eames chairs is fantastic!!

Moofus

Do you know about Milan Rodriguez from Moofus?? Maybe you've seen his work over at Studio Home Creative?

Studio Home Creative is where I was first introduced to Milan's work..(thanks Julia!). And after a trip around the web, discovered that he was also featured in the Design*Sponge Australia Series. So... have a look-see below.. but wait....I forgot one of the most amazing things about Milan is....well, it is obvious that he is super talented, but to top that off - he is only 11!! yep eleven!!! pretty cool huh??!!

Mummy Sam

OK.. I did refrain for a little while... here is some more Softie love : ) These gorgeous beauties are made by Mummy Sam - who's name, (if I am playing detective well) is Samantha Cotterill. Sam is one super clever gal who produces a fantastic collection of softie goodness - and is a pretty clever painter too!! - have a look:

I like finding new things : ) Thanks to my lovely friend Emma, I have just been introduced to Little Otsu. Little Otsu itself is whole 'nother story that I will save for O..but amongst the goodness that they have in store is...

It has been a little tricky finding info about Lart... all I know is that I love her work, and that they have a fab 'Bundle' of her work for sale at Little Otsu - and a GREAT price too at only $30 USD!! Included in the bundle is:

The work of Julia Freund is beautiful. I am in love with the fourth print below. It isn't often you see illustration from this perspective and I love the simple yet really effective use of colour...Julia's Lineanongrata collection includes prints, buttons, notebooks, postcards and even hand printed coasters - have a look:

Kathleen Lolley

Kathleen Lolley produces a fabulous range of stationery, pillows, art prints and more...With story telling playing an obvious role in her work - each piece could easily the centerpiece of a fantastic, whimsical story. I love this from her etsy profile:

Ink+Wit

I first discovered Tara Hogan via her Etsy Shop. As you might have guessed, I am obsessed with stationery, ..and fabric - well pretty much anything that is printed!! I actually have to stop myself writing yet another post about stationery and fabric finds on this alphabetical journey, as I don't want to bore you to tears! I have had to weed out a few...But Ink+Wit survived the cull - why? Because I love it so!

Tara's art and design studio Ink+Wit specialises in fine prints, stationery, limited editions, custom design and original work. Ink+Wit is dedicated to creating a functional and sustainable range that is fun and elegant...and she does it so well!

Everything is designed and illustrated by Tara, and the product created with her exceptional talent has become an ongoing subject for many design themed blogs.

ibride

Not unlike Tara Hogan, ibride have also done the blog rounds. You either love them or hate them...I think they're fab!

You may have spotted them here when I included a piccy of an Animal Tray in the Curiosity Shoppe 'C is for' post.

ibride is an innovative French design team made up of the combined genius of three members of the same family. Their style is unmistakable and their imagery a shining example of the hybridization they are famous for.

Each tray is constructed to last, using a century old technique of high pressure laminate over pressed wood and paper board. Then each decorative tray is intricately laser cut to create the stunning edge.

Whether you display them on a wall (which would be my choice), or use them for serving, they are nothing less than stunning!

Thanks to a post over at Decor8 (via a post at Creature Comforts) we now know that ibride also produce a range of cards in the same design and with the same delicate borders. They can be found at Lagom Design. **thanks Holly and Ez for the tip!**

And...ibride's goodness doesn't stop there! They also produce an amazing range of furniture...a little something that will have your guests looking twice! Unfortunately I don't think they come with the wall graphic behind *sigh*...

Sarah Wilkins - Illustrator

I am excited to be able to post about Sarah Wilkins. Not only does she live in NZ, she lives right here in Wellington, and I have had the pleasure of getting to know her over the last year or so.

Sarah is an established illustrator, working full time from her home studio. Her work is commissioned all over the world.

Indie Fixx

The Indie Fixx 'About' page on their website, pretty much sums it up -

"Indie Fix is a celebration of the creativity, tenacity, and general spunky goodness that is the indie design movement. The indie design movement is made up of artists, crafters and designers who make a literal smorgasbord of delectable indie products. Once you shop indie, you'll never go back."

Jen Wallace began the Indie Fixx shop in 2007 as an extension of her blog. Jens goal is to support and promote independent design and small DIY business people, she chooses products from practical to whimsical, with the inventory changing often.
