Ingrid Padilla + Ilee Paper Goods + Ish and Chi

Hi dee hi!

How was the first half of your week? Good I hope : )

Ours has been surprisingly pleasant considering that it has been raining all week and the boys and I have been stuck indoors. We did venture out yesterday in the rain, and today is already looking much brighter...

We also tried some meditation - our youngest son does meditation at preschool (very cool!) and was keen to show us how it is done. With both boys comfortably positioned, they spent a bit of time, relaxing, and breathing, and feeling the weight of their bodies - it was lovely! I'm looking forward to doing it more often, there is nothing like peace and calm in a home of boisterousness and testosterone!

Shall we begin this collection for I?

Ingrid Padilla

I think I must be in an 'ink drawing' phase because I have found more to share with you today.

This series of work is from mixed media artist Ingrid Padilla and is from her colorful series of original paint and ink drawings. I think they would be amazing in a large format.

This first one is my fave - which do you like best?

Ilee Paper Goods

mmmm! Letterpress and silkscreen paper goodness!

Ilee Paper Goods produce a range of ready-made and custom paper products for every occasion. Their 2010 calendars are divine, (see 4th and last images below), and would make the most gorgeous gift - I'm thinking as a keepsake for a babe born in the new year, or a beautiful addition to your desk top...l-o-v-e-l-y!

Some Australian wonderland love today...

Ish and Chi - Interior, Fashion, Food and more....

Ish and Chi is one of those Yes! Yes! Yes! blogs. Do you remember I used that term the other day? The yes's are in answer to the three questions I ask myself when choosing blogs for the wonderland - will you love it? will you be inspired? and, will you get lost in it? Yes, yes and yes!

You have been warned!! : ) It's a great read and definitely worth adding to your faves...enjoy!

Jenni Holma + Hayley Carmo + Heart Handmade

How's Wednesday treating you? Wonderfully I hope : )

Jenni Holma

I thought I would start the day by sharing some photographic work from Jenni Holma.

"A 22-year old girl with an open mind and a longing for new experiences. I'm a bit of a dreamer and a classic idealist with a hint of too much naivety in me. I see things through child filtered glasses which sometimes seems to be against me and on better days not. I've taken a liking to photography and wish the get better during the's no fun hanging around as a complete amateur, is it. ;-D .

I love observing things and making little notes to myself.I don't like thinking about photography as a bunch of rules one should ideas and fresh perspectives are way better than some straight horizontal lines and all that jazz. I go by what I think looks or feels good. My heart lies in conceptual photography, but I'm in awe by anything that makes me feel something."

You may have seen Hayley Carmo's Award Ribbons installation when it did the blog rounds earlier in the year (pictured 4th and 7th below)...did you know that Hayley is a pretty darn clever artist as well?

Check out a snippet of her work below - everything from this gorgeous hand printed floral twill (pictured first), to silk screens and collage.. you've got to take a look!

I pencilled in Heart Handmade for this H wonderland a while ago, and when I visited there last week I discovered some sad news....

Marichelle has decided to stop writing and compiling Heart Handmade : (

Even though Heart Handmade wont be regularly updated I decided that this site was something that really needed to be included in our wonderland... it is a huge, exciting and inspiring resource, full of wonderful finds, interviews and how-to's.

I urge you to click through the archives to the very beginning and take yourself on a journey through Marichelle's "quest to become a part of the wonderful world of independent design".

a quick quote about Love...

"If your trying to break my heart your plan is flawed from the start. You can't break my heart. It's liquid. It melted when I met you." Jemaine - Flight of The Conchords

It's got to make you smile, right??

Have a great day!xxoo

Rubie Green + Go Go Kitten Art + Green Wedding Shoes

Hi! Happy Tuesday to you!

Loads of goodness to share today - shall we get started?

Rubie Green

Last week when the boys were at their yoga class (yep, I know! how cool is falling in love with yoga when you're a kid!), I ventured into Wellington's organic super store. It had been a few years since I'd been in there as we had been sourcing our produce and supplies more locally, but I tell you, I was gobsmacked by how much their range had grown.

I came home so excited that the world had got to a place where the demand for organic goods pretty much means that everything is now available chemical free. yay!

The design world is no different, and we are now blessed with design houses like Rubie Green who produce a collection of organic upholstery fabrics and bedding...

"Here at Rubie Green, our mission is to dress your surroundings in fabrics that represent vitality, energy, comfort and style, all while maintaining respect to the environment by using only 100% organic cotton. We believe in classic designs that are familiar to every decade, re-vitalized in an eco-friendly manner. We know that natural does not mean boring, and that interiors make a house a home."

Go Go Kitten Art

Cathy Chhetri is a self taught artist who produces these amazing ink and pen drawings for her store Go Go Kitten Art. I love the intense contrast between the black and white, and the detail in each piece is inspiring!

Cathy includes hands, eyes, faces and flowers in her collection and I have chosen a few of my faves to share with you today. Her body of work is huge, and is definitely worth a browse : )

Aside from being great pieces of art I think they would make the most beautiful notebook or journal covers.. what do you think?

More wedding love....

Wedding magazines, blogs and websites are one of my favourite places to be inspired - beautiful photography, amazing styling ...and love! What more could a girl want??!!

Sometimes when I am browsing blogs choosing which to showcase here in our Wonderland, I ask myself, "Will they (meaning you guys : ) love it?", "Will they be inspired?", "Will they get 'lost' here?". I figure, that when I find myself about 7 pages into a blog and I haven't been able to draw myself away, that the answer will probably be YES! to all three questions!

Green Wedding Shoes is a Yes! Yes! Yes! blog -I know you'll love it! ...enjoy!
